Mardi Gras 2009

I just spent 2 weeks in New Orleans working on a project (which I am not ready to share yet) and happened to arrive the night before Mardi Gras. So I just wandered the streets of the Marigny and the French Quarter on Fat Tuesday, with my camera. For all the Mardi Gras I have been to, 2009 was one of the best ones in a lot of ways: the weather was beautiful, people just content to walk up and down the streets showing off their costumes, and I didn't see anything I didn't care to see (those of you who have been to the French Quarter for Mardi Gras will know what I am talking about...).

On a gray day in North Idaho,

...a stylist, a designer and a bunch of girls wanted to have fun. So they found a bus, decorated it, brought some yummy foods, gathered some clothes and makeup, and started to play. Really, the sun was shinning all over!
